Great place to stay, it was very nice, loved the porch you can sit on. The view from the room or porch was amazing. Bathroom was a little short. Good size, but the shower I felt really tall. (Like Buddy Showering at the north pole lol) Water pressure was great. Did not have an airconditioner, but they provide a fan and with our fan too it was perfect. Close to everything.
An affordable place to stay, especially considering its waterfront location conveniently near things like a grocery store, restaurants/bars, and the ferry to Isle Royale NP. Rooms aren't fancy but they're clean. Coffee and hot tea station is accessible on the porch of the office.
Great place to stay traveling to and from Isle Royale. The town of Copper Harbor is very quiet, rustic and walkable, while still providing all essential amenities for preparing a trip to the island or relaxing on a layover day afterwards. The motel was clean and comfortable while still making you feel connected with the nature around you. You are staying right on the water with a gorgeous view of the harbor. The staff was so friendly and flexible. They even refunded a stay on the back end of our trip on very little notice when our transportation from the island got delayed. Cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely be back!
This motel was super charming and so beautiful inside and out! The views of the lake were absolutely incredible and the staff was super helpful. Our room was clean and spacious for the space we needed on our road trip through the UP.
What a delightful place! We had a motel room right on the water. A sliding glass door opened to a deck area with chairs overlooking the harbor. Gorgeous view for both sunrise and sunset. The grounds are lushly landscaped with grassy areas and many beds with flowers and plants. It was so peaceful and relaxing! Room was basic but quite comfortable. Self-serve coffee is available at the office in the mornings, with real cream/creamer (much appreciated). Easy walk to the shops & cafes in town.
This is what you expect from an old motel at the top of the UP. It's like a step back in time, to when road trips meant stays in family-owned motels rather than chain hotels. The rooms were clean and small. Our room had knotty pine walls and ceilings and a sliding door leading to a beautiful view of the harbor. This isn't the nicest or most modern place, but it is quiet, historic and charming.

The location and the views honestly cant be beat. It was amazing. While the hotel was clean, the amount of mold in the shower/caulk was insane. Also lots of stains on the carpet. Nice front desk person!
